Be Your Best: Shoulder-to-Shoulder Coaching at Tewksbury Grace Farm Academy. Mentorship for students and adults focused on Mind, Body, and Heart. Built on 40 acres of nature, led by "Mr. T."

The Philosophy: "Be Your Best"

At Tewksbury Grace, we don't compare ourselves to others. We focus on the consistent effort of improving ourselves. Whether it's on the farm, in the classroom, or in the boardroom, success is built on three pillars:WORK HARD (The Mind): Establishing routines, setting goals, and taking responsibility for your own growth.PLAY HARD (The Body): Embracing a healthy lifestyle through physical fitness, farm labor, and friendly sports (Basketball, Disc Golf, Soccer, Bocce Ball and more).BE KIND (The Heart): Being a great teammate, starting with the most important team of all—The Home Team (Family).

The "Shoulder-to-Shoulder" Experience

You won't sit in a classroom here. You will work alongside Mr. T. You’ll learn about nature, complete vital farm tasks, and connect through shared effort.A Typical Session Includes:
The Farm Walk: A short hike to discuss goals and observe the changing seasons.
The Farm Task: Real work (pruning, log prep, gardening) to build "Self Skills."
The Sweat Equity: A workout or sports activity tailored to your fitness level.
The Farm Table: A healthy snack or meal sourced from the land.
The Goal Session: Reflecting on the day and setting "Home Team" responsibilities.
The Harvest: A fun farm activity to wrap up the session.

The Skills Framework

SELF SKILLS: Master your routines, take 100% responsibility, and set measurable goals.TEAM SKILLS: Learn to be a problem solver, find the compromise, and take the initiative for the group.LEADER SKILLS: Learn to give constructive feedback and "Walk the Talk" by being a model for others.

Common Questions

Q: What if the weather is bad?
A: We work "Shoulder-to-Shoulder" in most conditions—rain or shine—to build grit. However, in cases of dangerous lightning or extreme cold, we will move the session into the barn or reschedule.
Q: What should my student wear?
A: Think "Work Hard." Sturdy, closed-toe shoes are required (no flip-flops or crocs). Wear clothes that can get dirty, as we will be handling logs, soil, and farm equipment.
Q: Is there a waiver?
A: Yes. In accordance with Pennsylvania Act 27 (Agritourism Activity Protection Act), all parents must sign a liability waiver and emergency contact form before the first session.
Q: Can I stay and watch?
A: While the "Home Team" is our priority, these sessions are designed for 1-on-1 mentorship between the student and Mr. T to foster independence. We recommend a "drop and go" approach, but we can discuss specific needs during your Coaching Session.
